The Anni Bloom Fashion Show wasn’t your typical runway event - it was a celebration of both individuality and community.
Rooted in the mission of blooming through adversity, the show brought together people of all ages, backgrounds, body types, and abilities to share the runway and reclaim their confidence, on their own terms.

A Community-Wide Celebration
Held in the heart of Whangārei, this event was proudly a community collaboration. We worked with local businesses and clothing stores to showcase their pieces, while also spotlighting up-and-coming student designers from The Design School and Whangārei Girls’ High School.
In the lead-up to the event, we partnered with Whangārei Girls’ High School to host workshops that trained students in walking with confidence and purpose. These sessions weren’t just about posture and performance, they were about helping young women feel empowered in their bodies and proud of their stories.
We also welcomed the fierce and fabulous Burlesque Beauties to the runway - a group of incredible women who radiate confidence in every form: all shapes, sizes, ages, and styles.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the night came from The Glass Ceiling Arts Collective, a charity dedicated to creating inclusive creative opportunities for people from marginalised communities, especially young people with disabilities.
Their talented young performers took the stage to bring Ariel the Little Mermaid to life in a way that moved the entire audience. With music, movement, and pure joy, their performance was a beautiful reminder that every voice deserves to be heard, and every story deserves to shine.

Fashion With a Purpose
At its core, this fashion show was a visual representation of what Anni Bloom stands for: visibility, self-expression, and turning difference into power. It was about showing young people, especially those who feel different, that they don’t need to change to be worthy of celebration.
